About this listing
Cyanotype is the earliest form of photography dating from 1842 and creates a dynamic silhouetted image. I utilise this printing technique is a more experimental form, using it in conjunction with droplets of water and ink, which makes every print unique. I have kept a lot of the background 'noise' and splashes of Cyanotype chemicals as it brings movement and depth to the image.
Cranesbill run wild in our garden! Delicate, they explode each summer with vitality and is used with Yew, bold and strong. This multi-stem image is on 200 gsm acid free paper with Cyanotype chemicals and inks. The print is signed and year dated on the front.
