Since graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Fine Art, Rory has focussed his practice to explore the personas we publicly exhibit in the contemporary digital world.
Rory's artworks portray a physicality, juxtaposing the overall two-dimensional representation with its three-dimensional subject; symbolic of the virtual world operating within our lives. His artworks are emotionally engaging, often depicting feelings of loneliness and longing; this personifies the drawn figures and highlights the differences between real world individuals and their social media appearance.
Rory incorporates many mediums into his practice, exploring installation art, sculpture, painting and drawing. Currently, he is working on a large series of charcoal drawings to help bring a physical presence to the 2D paper.
