I create impressionistic, abstract work, as well as more traditional photographic images of the coast and landscape. My work often explores movement, texture, and time. Horizontal and vertical bands of colour, horizons as well as blended light and colour are strong features. I have been inspired by modernists such as Rothko and Newman, and photographers such as Hiroshi Sugimoto.
I have recently launched my 'Below The Waterline' series and I am currently working on an accompanying book.
I produce professional fine art giclée prints from my Sussex studio as well as assisting artists with fine art reproductions of their work.
I received my first camera at the age of 9. I continue to work professionally but my passion is creating images that will stand the test of time, that can be enjoyed on your wall, that can be gifted and that may remind someone of a special place or time.
