Nature is a great source of inspiration for me, I’m drawn to countryside and coastal views, love flora and fauna, particularly birds. I’ve really enjoyed working on my bird paintings. I’m trying to illustrate what huge personalities bird’s have, by focusing on their heads and faces in particular. That’s a range of work which I will keep adding to, the choice of birds to explore working on seems almost infinite.

I often use mixed media because it’s exciting to be able to mix different types of mark making, creating unexpected mark making and serendipitous effects.
