I am Painter and Printmaker living and working on the outskirts of Bristol. I graduated from Falmouth University with a BA in Fine Art in 2013. I now produce work from my home studio.
Inspired by the forms and shapes in ragged coastlines, still water, mountains and rocky landscapes, I respond using printmaking and painting to capture places I have been. My work seeks to evoke memories of specific places but through an abstract lens, revealing the instinct we have to associate colour, shape and form to tangible places. For example, how a horizon line so simply can take you to specific memories of seascapes and how colours can resonate with certain landscapes. I explore how landscapes change seasonally through areas of distressed textures and smooth softy painted forms. I use a variety of mediums and techniques and work to combine these to create more unique images. I print in very limited series and often these series are varied editions.
